TGIF, recently recognized as one of the top 5 outdoor concert series in the nation by USA TODAY’s 10Best's 2023 Readers' Choice Awards, has grown into one of the city’s most highly anticipated and beloved summer series. Originally known as “TGIF Jazz In the Parks,” the TGIF concert series began in 1986 and is San Diego County’s longest-running free outdoor concert series presented by a municipality. Every year, friends, families and neighbors have come together to enjoy music in Carlsbad’s parks.
